This biography of Sam Houston goes beyond the romantic frontier life of the "buckskin hero from Tennessee" to examine seriously his role as an American statesman. Grant Moves South by Bruce Catton Published by Little Brown and Co. 5th Printing 1960. This copy is basically clean, tight, square with sharp corners and unmarked but no dust jacket. It is in excellent condition with the exception of fading on the spine due to sunlight. The boards are covered in blue cloth with gold titles on the spine and a gold hat and sword on the front board. It is illustrated with black & white maps and a frontispiece photo of Grant. This is a 5th printing and has 564 pages. Measures approx. 5 ¾”x 8 5/8"x 1 5/8".
