This 1915 Ringling Brothers Artist's Contract is signed by Charles Ringling. One of the 5 Ringling brothers who helped found what would become the most famous circus in the United States, Charles Edward Ringling (December 2, 1863 - December 3, 1926) produced some of the circus's first shows in the early 20th century. In the contract, a performer by the name of Mary Kiley agrees to "Dance in ballet, go in spectacle, tournament, parade, etc." for the 1916 season of the Ringling Bros Circus in exchange for $8.00 a week.
