Description
**First Time At Auction**

Western Greece, Archaic Period, ca. 6th to 5th century BCE. A finely-detailed terracotta maskette of a woman, perhaps a goddess, with slender cheeks, thin chin, dainty nose, large almond-shaped eyes, and locks of cascading hair flowing across her brow. A curved hair band or diadem rests atop her head and would have held her carefully-styled hair in place. Adhered to lucite stand. Size: 1.75" H (4.4 cm); 3" H (7.6 cm) on included custom stand.
