MANHATTAN BRASS LARGE DOUBLE POSTED STUDENT LAMP, central cylindrical font holder and font, adjustable double-post terminating in a fleur-de-lis finial, weighted ornate cast-brass base and feet. Electrified through the bottom of the font holders with the wire transferring through the arms and into the burners where they meet the sockets, font tank has not been drilled or manipulated. Topped with Fenton teal opalescent dome student shades. Manhattan Brass Co. Fourth quarter 19th century. 32" HOA, 26" WOA, 8" DOA foot. 7 1/2" H, 10" D shade fitters.
One shade with a chip to the fitter and each having some typical flaking/roughness to the fitters. Lamp body with heavy overall corrosion, some scattered denting to the exterior of the font holder, right shade ring bent moderately downward, other imperfections due to the electrification process.
