DESCRIPTION: A Japanese Imari porcelain charger. Embellished with enameled scenes of birds and phoenixes amongst blossoming tree branches and flowers, intersected with cobalt, maroon, and gilded lotus floral motifs. Centered by a cobalt and gilded floral design. Finished with gilded accents and marked along the underside with a Japanese character seal.
