Description

American Carved Rosewood Canape, late 19th c., the arched back with a pierced egg and scroll crest, over an upholstered back with integral curved upholstered arms, to a bowed seat on cabriole legs with casters, joined by a serpentine skirt, H.- 42 1/2 in., W.- 6 in., D.- 32 in.

Condition

The left side has a separation crack with approximate ¼” of filled wood. There are slight nicks on the arms. Nothing to report on the upholstery. An elegant example.
