Description
Darling pair of brooches by Hans Brassler in a bow tie shape. Each brooch is set with a single cabachon turquoise stone and a Greek key design on both ends. The C clasp is marked 14B indicating Hans Brassler. Approx weight is 4.84g and measure 1 1/4" long. Hans Brassler is a German born jeweler who studied jewelry design in France. He settled in Newark NJ and founded The Brassler Company in 1909 where he remained the artistic director for several years and designed jewelry in the Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau and early Art Deco styles. In 1916, Mr. Brassler left the company, in 1933, the remaining assets were sold so another jewelry company and then later acquired by Krementz & Co. in 1938.
