Russian Nicholas I Silver Water Pitcher
1845, St. Petersburg, assayer Mikhail Mikhailovich Karpinski, maker's mark "Henze", 84 zolotnik (.875) silver, of ovoid form, the lower half gadrooned, the shaped rim with integral spout and gadrooned rim, with crested arched handle and conforming cavetto domed foot, the interior gilt, monogrammed "AK" with a crown of nobility.

Condition
In overall quite good condition. Some very minor surface nicks and scuffs, but no dents, breaks or repairs
noted. Bright gilding; crisp monogram. Marked (on the underside) with 1) the St. Petersburg arms; 2)
the fineness "84"; 3) the assayer/date mark "MK/1834" and 4) the impressed maker's mark "HENZE".
Marks excellent.
