Ngombe stool / backrest often called "tip stools" - Democratic Republic of the Congo. Single peg leg with metal plate added to form a base. Openwork seat incised all over with parallel lines in geometric patterns, brasstacks as ornamentation on edges, one side missing pegs. Ex. condition, peg has spilt, 13h x 26w in. This piece is illustrated in a decorator book (not included)
