Description
A WILLIAM IV (1830-1837) WALNUT AND MAHOGANY TILT TOP BREAKFAST TABLE, ENGLISH, 1830, in the late Regency taste, the circular top tilting over an octagonal pedestal support, ending in a circular turned socle, on a tripodal, concave, plinth base, raised on flat bun feet, with inset steel casters. Table closed height: 28", diameter: 45"; table open height: 54 1/4". NOTE: Secondary wood: Oak.
Condition
The top was likely added later, and has heavy surface wear, including scratches, dents, and general wear, and apparent professional repairs; with horizontal crack. The veneer has some wear including some losses and cracks, mostly near base. Overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
