Description
A CONTINENTAL ENAMEL AND GILT DECORATED FIGURAL PORCELAIN KEROSENE BURNING TABLE LAMP WITH MILK GLASS SHADE, CIRCA 1875-1900, the porcelain lamp with squat globular fuel reservoir with applied floral blossoms flanking hand painted floral sprays within gilt highlighted fields, supported by a squared baluster form column with a figure of a breech and waistcoat adorned young gallant, raised on tiered shaped parterre base, the lamp fitted with a brass Edward Miller & Co. duplex kerosene burner head and a globular milk glass shade with transfer printed floral spray decoration, the burner marked "E M DUPLEX," and the base with gilt "89." mark. Height: 22 1/2" Diameter: 8 1/2"
