This lot consists of a Hand Painted oil on canvas, Hand Signed "Gerald Cassidy" in the lower left. Image depicts the Rio Grande flowing through the New Mexico landscape with a lone pueblo in the distance. It is done in the Western-Indian style of American artist Gerald Ira Diamond Cassidy (American 1879-1934). A Label en verso reads "Peter Keltch" and a second label has the name and address of "Duke University". Also features the title "Rio Grande" written in pencil, with a canceled 3-cent stamp with a postmark dated "April 30, 1935". Unframed canvas measures approx. 13" x 17" Inches.

Overall in nice condition with the canvas loose on the stretcher. Minor signs of age and wear. Colors are bold and vibrant and piece shows very well.
