Signed lower left and titled 'Lover's Leap Spring River' verso. According to online sources, 'Lover's Leap is a high rocky ledge at the west end of Spring River bridge.a couple of miles east of Lincolnville. Legend says that a beautiful Indian maiden fell in love with an Indian warrior of another tribe and when the parents refused to allow the marriage, they went to the cliff and jumped.the location is in Ottawa county, Oklahoma.' Charles Banks Wilson moved to Miami, Oklahoma as a child and lived the majority of his life there.
Image measures 14.5 x 18 inches on a 15 x 22.75 inch sheet with an overall frame size of 26 x 29 inches.
