Delicate Qianlong Qing Dynasty porcelain brush-washer. Shallow basin circumscribed with a curvaceous wall of porcelain. The wall is decorated in intricate patterns the resemble twisting vines and flowers. The focal point is a painting of a peach-tree with gliding Fu-bats intermingled between the knobby branches. Combining the peach and Fu-bat speaks of fertility. The bat is representative of males and the peach represents femininity. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.


Mark on base, a six underglaze blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, Made in The Years of QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
