Slender scroll Chinese painting of variegated flora on paper. Hand-painted Chinese semi-cursive characters, with iron-red seals. Vertical columns of the elegant script take up the top left space of the image. Depicted is beautiful ground-orchid flowers growing amidst a scholar stone. Very well preserved and set against a pale-colored silk matte background. This scroll is attached to a single di-gan rod and upper tian gan rod where a ribbon is affixed so that it can be hung. Zhou-tou knobs make it easy to roll this painting up for safe transport.
