Very Fine Chinese scroll painting of relaxed Female figure on paper. Hand-painted Chinese semi-cursive characters, with iron-red seals adorn the upper right-hand corner. Diaphanous robes drape from the females form as she casts her gaze away from her studies. She reclines against a yoke-back officer chair that is placed before a long table covered in various scholarly utensils such the inkstone, censer, gu-vase with peacock feathers and much more. Very well preserved and set against a pale-colored silk matte background. This scroll is attached to a single di-gan rod and upper tian gan rod where a ribbon is affixed so that it can be hung. Zhou-tou knobs make it easy to roll this painting up for safe transport.
