Description
Rookwood Sea Green vase with 5 geese in flight under a crescent moon, the work of Matt Daly in 1894. The geese all appear to have been spooked by something. Marks include the company logo, which indicates the date, shape number 735 D, W for white clay, incised notation 139 G for Sea Green glaze, a wheel ground X and Daly's impressed initials. Height 7 1/4 inches. The vase is marked as a second because of the fuzzy crescent moon but it is uncrazed and nicely painted. There are a few minor scratches.
Condition
Uncrazed, Xed for fuzzy crescent moon
