Item Details

Description

Mahogany glaze vase having great patches of Goldstone and decorated with a trio of geese, the work of Artus Van Briggle in the 1890's. Marks include the Rookwood logo, shape 568 E and Mr. Van Briggle's incised monogram. Heavy glaze on the base obscures the Rookwood logo so an exact date isn't possible to determine. There is a tiny open bubble at the rim and faint crazing. Height is 4 3/8 inches.
