Description
HOBBS BASAL-RIB FONT KEROSENE STAND LAMP, colorless font, sapphire blue base, No. 1 Taplin-Brown collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising a No. 1 C. A. Taplin King Grip burner and a sapphire blue slip chimney with ten-petal top. Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. Circa 1870. 8 1/4" H to top of collar, 4 3/4" D foot.
Lamp undamaged and with normal mold roughness to foot edge. Burner undamaged, chimney with a shallow chip to one petal which does not affect the profile extensively, interior of body with a string of raised glass, as made.
