Pair War and Peace Rooster Hand colored Aquatints Engraving Prints. Appear to be original hand painted prints, not inspected outside of frame but appears to have plate marks visible. Engraved by Charles Turner after painting by Benjamin Marshall, Peace (Cock in Feather); and War (Trimmed Cock) handcoloured aquatints, published by W.C.Lee, "War" and "Peace", pair aquatints published in London by W.C. Lee, gamecock with spurs and trimmed tail feathers symbolizes war while barnyard rooster with abundant and multicolored tail feathers represents peace. Framed in gold toned metallic and red toned painted wooden frames with grey toned fabric matte. Measures approx 29 in tall by 23 in wide. Some wear to frames.
