This lot consists of a vintage singer featherweight sewing machine (model 221-1). This lot also features original carrying case, oil can, thimble, thread and spool, instruction booklet and foot petal.
The machine reads:
"Sewing Machine/ Catalogue 3-110/ 100-110 Volts/ 25 to 75 Cycles and D.C./ 0.4 Ampere/ Simanco U.S.A."
The case for the machine measures 13" x 8" x 11.75".
Singer Corporation is an American manufacturer of sewing machines, first established as I. M. Singer & Co. in 1851 by Isaac Merritt Singer with New York lawyer Edward Clark. Best known for its sewing machines, it was renamed Singer Manufacturing Company in 1865, then The Singer Company in 1963. It is based in La Vergne, Tennessee, near Nashville.
