BRITISH HISTORICAL LONDON GREAT EXHIBITION VOLUMES, LOT OF TWO, comprising Henry Stevens, "An Account of the Proceedings at the Dinner Given by Mr. George Peabody to the Americans Connected with the Great Exhibition at the London Coffee House Ludgate Hill on the 27th October, 1851", 1851, William Pickering, London, having impressed blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration, and gilt page edges; and William Drew, "Glimpses and Gatherings, During a Voyage and Visit to London and the Great Exhibition, in the Summer of 1851", 1852, presumed first edition, Homan & Manley, Augusta, ME, and Abel Tompkins, Boston, MA, with engraved frontispiece portrait of the author, impressed brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine.
Good condition overall, bumped corners/spines, covers with expected moderate wear and some minor losses, William Drew example with a moderate loss to back cover at one corner, interiors with expected toning, some creases, some scattered foxing or minor stains.
