Description
Attributed to the Bell Pottery of Virginia, transitional pottery figure of a dog with incised fur and basket in mouth on an oval base with incised trim. 4 1/2" H x 4 1/4" D x 1 7/8" W. Third quarter of the 19th century. Provenance: Consignor purchased from Atlanta, GA dealer Deanne D. Levison in the Late 1980's. Condition
Chip to rear of oval base, chip to underside of one side. Old repair to side of basket handle and front of base.
