Description
A GROUP OF FOUR CONTINENTAL SILVER, FILIGREE, AND PLIQUE À JOUR ITEMS, LATE 19TH CENTURY, comprising a silver gilt and plique à jour enamel tea strainer by Gustav Gaudernack for David Andersen, Christiania (Oslo), Norway, circa 1900, unmarked, length: 5 1/8"; a silver filigree chamber candlestick, unmarked, height: 1 7/8", width: 4 3/8", depth: 3 1/2"; a silver filigree basket, unmarked, height: 2 7/8", width: 3 1/4", depth: 2 1/2"; and a 800 standard silver Rococo style miniature table, height: 1 3/8", width: 1 5/8", depth: 1 5/8".
Condition
In overall sound condition, the tea strainer with extensive loss of gilt finish and minor losses to enamel decoration, the filigree pieces with bent elements, the candlestick with breakage to the framework, the table with losses to silver finish.
