AN ESCHLE GILT BRONZE SINGING BIRD AUTOMATON MUSIC BOX, GERMAN, CIRCA 1955-1965, the rectangular music box with chamfered corners in chased cast and gilt bronze with interlaced grass blade decoration, the top with a transfer printed enamel pastoral theme plaque opened by a lever which activates an animated bird that flaps its wings up and down, opens and closes its beak, flutters its tail feathers up and down, and turns left and right, mounted with green cabochon stones, the box raised on four scrolled legs with interlaced decoration, bottom winding key, the movement marked "ESCHLE, GERMANY."
