Description
A GROUP OF SEVEN YUAN (1271-1368) AND MING (1368-1644) DYNASTY STYLE BLUE AND WHITE YAO BOWLS, CHINA, consisting of four bowls of tapered conical form on circular feet, with similar blue motif underglaze decoration, three marked with characters in glaze, centering wheel forms, three with canton style, red hexagon encircling three characters export stamp mark, approximate height: 2 3/4", diameter: 7"; and three conical tapered bowls on circular feet with similar blue underglaze motif, including Phagspa style script on the exteriors, the bases bearing various underglaze markings, approximate height: 2 3/4", diameter: 6 5/8".
Condition
Some minor chips, kiln bursts and occasional firing cracks, some soil, but otherwise in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
