A GROUP OF TWO MEXICAN GLAZED TERRA COTTA FIGURAL FOLK ART ITEMS, OCUMICHO, MICHOACAN, LATE 20TH CENTURY, comprising a diablito face mask with blue painted forehead, nose, and horns, black beard, and brown eyes, cheeks, ears, and mouth, height: 11", width: 8 1/8", depth: 3 3/4"; together with a glazed terra cotta barrel dome box with lid, bisected by a turtle with projecting head, tail, and legs, the removable lid surmounted by a winged horned creature, height: 7", width: 6 3/4", depth: 7 3/4".
Condition
In overall fair condition with flaking and rubbing of glaze on both the mask and box.
