Two 18 Century Chinese Gouache Bird and Flower paintings on Paper, the backgrounds painted black to imitate mirror-backed reverse paintings on glass. Each in 18 or 19 Century wood frames with an old label from the Rowley Gallery, Kensington, London. The first with a Pheasant by a Peony with two Doves, the other with Magnolia, pair of Quail and another pair of birds. Appear to be in good condition with light age related wear, although not examined out of frames. Height of painting 14 1/2 inches (37 cm.) X width of paintings 22 1/4 inches (57 cm.).
