1804 AMERICANA 1st ed John Quincy Adams American Foreign Policy Prussia Letters on Silesia
“Try and fail, but don't fail to try.” ― John Quincy Adams
‘Letters on Silesia’ is a collection of John Quincy Adams’ correspondence with his brother while he was serving as a U.S. Minster in Prussia as well as a travel report from his time overseas. Silesia was an Eastern Germany district that bordered Prussia, Austria, and Germany at a time of political unrest in Europe. Adams played a critical role in the development of foreign policy in the United States, and much of his experiences discussed in this work shaped American policies.
