Ray Morimura was born in Tokyo (1948). He graduated from Tokyo Gakugei University. His woodblock prints are characterized by the use of geometric forms to form stunning natural landscapes of famous temples, shrines, and beloved places in Japan. He is well established as a printmaker with regular solo exhibitions in Japan and the United States.
