Extraordinary, Chinese Yuan Dynasty period porcelain high cup. Meticulous finish covers the delicate clay, showing silky smooth sheen on the glaze. Deep porcelain bowl, with rounded cavetto rising to form the steep curvature, raised on a splayed countersunk tall foot base. Depiction of thrashing long five-claws dragon amongst flames in underglaze blue. The interior with a rabbit standing within floral foliate, enclosed by two fine rings conforming the cavetto. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity. Evenly coated in a clean white glaze. Banded with a fine double ring on the inner and outer rim. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finish is meticulous.
