Rustic figure eight style wood and paper mache case with relief lettering around the door and lower door which reads "Carwalho, Keokuk's Leading - One Price, Clothier, Fourth & Main". Condition: Nice enhanced original painted finish, replaced upper glass, dial has some wear with inpainting in the numerals; original unsigned movement by LaPorte Hubbell of Bristol, CT is an unusual variation; has original setup instruction paper label inside. c.1895 30.5 in. high x 18.5 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep. Weight: 11.5 lbs.
