Description
North America or Europe, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A exquisite cast-brass eagle head with finely-detailed feathers, piercing circular eyes, and an aquiline bead with flared nostrils. The planar base has a small hole in the bottom, and the verso is slanted slightly inwards. The majority of the head is covered in dark-brown and green patina, and scattered areas of green patina accentuate the lustrous golden-brown beak. Size: 10.25" L x 6.5" W x 8.5" H (26 cm x 16.5 cm x 21.6 cm).

Condition
Surface wear and minor abrasions commensurate with age, slight bending to form of beak, light fading to finer details on feathers, eyes, and beak, and some light roughness across most surfaces, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits and nice brown and green patina throughout. Small hole in base is covered with a small tape square.
