**First Time At Auction**
Central Asia, Bactrian Empire, ca. 1st millennium BCE; Eastern Mediterranean, Phoenicia, Iron Age, ca. 1200 BCE; Asia Minor, Turkey, Anatolia, ca. 7th century BCE. A great gathering of three bronze weapons from across ancient Europe and Asia. First is a Bactrian dagger blade with a socketed handle shaft, a crested central ridge, and an elongated triangular blade. Second is a Phoenician spearhead with a slender profile, a petite tang, and a central mid-rib decorated with impressed stippled pattern. Last is an Anatolian spear blade with a hooked tang, a compact profile, and a pair of perforated slots near the shoulder. Size of largest (Anatolian): 6.2" L (15.7 cm).
Provenance: ex-estate of the late John Piscopo, San Diego, California, USA. Mr. Piscopo was one of the largest collectors of ancient weapons in the US with a collection that spanned all cultures, all ages.

Condition
Bactrian dagger blade has losses to portion of socketing shaft. All items have age-commensurate surface wear and abrasions, small nicks to blade edges, and some discoloration, otherwise very good. Nice earthen deposits as well as lovely green patina throughout.
