DIETZ NO. 1052 FONT KEROSENE STAND LAMP, translucent blue pyriform font with central ring and worn gilt decoration, brass overhanging connector with a translucent blue flaring and lobed stem, double-step marble base, period brass fine-line collar. Fitted with a modern electric slip burner, period compressed solar/astral shade with engraved decoration, cast-brass prism ring with two-part casket-form prisms with a heart and star motif. Font Dietz & Co. Third quarter 19th century. 14 1/4" H to top of collar, 5" SQ base; shade 6 3/4" H, 3 1/8" D shade fitter.
Glass undamaged with the font having light overall crizzling, roughness and flaking to the edges of the marble, scattered chipping to the shade fitter, prisms with expected scattered flaking/chipping.
