Collection of Seven (7) Nice Early American Political Items
c. 1850 to 1943 Collection of Seven (7) Nice Collectible Early American Political Items Including Prints, all Very Fine or Better.
This group of (7) Political Items includes;

1. 5.5” x 6.75”, Advertizing Card for “F.W. Ellinghaus, Merchant Tailor” formated as a Presidential Campaign flyer with engraved portrait images of Grover Cleveland and James Garfield.

2. c. 1861, 8” x 5”, Engraving titled, “The Presidents of our Great Republic”, shows oval portraits of the Presidents from Washington to Lincoln with the years of their terms, by C. Magnus.

3. c. 1853, 8.5” x 10.75”, Engraving titled, “The Presidents of our Great Republic.”, shows oval portraits of the Presidents from Washington to Pierce, by Charles Magnus.

4. c. 1854, 10” x 6.25”, Engraving titled, “The Signers of the Declaration of Independence”, shows a collage of portraits of all 48 Signers each with a small number matching to the key on each side, text at bottom reads, “Designed and Engraved expressly for the Ladies’ Repository, engraved by W. Wellstood”.

5. June 3, 1830-Dated, 8” x 8”, 1 page, Handwritten Official “Oath for a Census Taker” in the historic 1830 United Statwes Census Western District of Virginia. Lower half of page has the Justice of the Peace’s affermation that said oath was given in his presence.

6. Campaign Printed, “Citizen’s Reform Ticket. 4.75” x 8.5”.

7. March 14, 1943-Dated World War II Period, 3.5” x 5.5” Postcard sent from an Army Camp in Oregon to Shippenburg, PA., front shows caractures of Hitler, Tojo and Mussolini dressed as choirboys, titled “The Unholy Three”.
