Description
Egypt, New Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, ca. dynasties 18 through 22, ca. 1400 to 712 BCE. It is hard to convey just how incredibly rare this ensemble is. In my 25 years of collecting and 35+ years of looking at ancient art, this is perhaps the second such set of complete beadwork we have ever seen. Comprised of multi-colored faience beads with a high concentration of the very desirable yellow. Each of the three scenes is held together with the original string binding, and none have been restitched or resewn at all. Set includes a mask with false beard, winged scarab, and winged Isis. All have been set into a modern shadow-box frame which protects the beads from becoming loose and falling off. Scarab measures 7.5" W. Isis measures 6.375" W and mask measures 5.875" W by 5.5" H. Frame size: 23" L x 14" W (58.4 cm x 35.6 cm)

Condition
While extremely fragile, the way this was framed protects it from the elements as well as keeping the beads in place. As shown on the left proper side of the beard, loose beads are present but minimal to the overall scene. Left proper ear missing as well.
