Description
Four Chinese Porcelains; a longquan celadon brush washer with the glaze suffused with small bubbles, with concave unglazed foot rim, the center of base in celadon with a Guangxu 6 character mark in underglaze blue; a Guanyao 3-legged Censer in gray Crackle Glaze in large black and fine golden lines, the center of the base unglazed for firing with brown slip; a pale blue ribbed porcelain bowl and cover, the insides in clear glaze with an underglaze blue flower to inside bowl and underneath cover; together with a small Chinese Green crackle glaze cabinet bud vase with only the unglazed foot rim clear of the green color. Small chip to rim of celadon brush washer with infill. Diameter of celadon brush washer 7 1/8 inches (18.2 cm.). Height of Guanyao Censer 4 3/4 inches (12.2 cm.). Provenance: Estate of U S Air Force Historian, Oliver Lincoln "Linc" Hobson (1908-1988), Shreveport, LA.
