Inscribed by the author to noted mountaineer J.P. Farrar. Dr. Jules Jacot Guillarmod was a Swiss doctor, mountaineer and photographer. He was born in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He participated in the 1902 expedition to the K2 and the 1905 expedition to the Kanchenjunga. He related these expeditions in his book called "Six Mois dans l'Himalaya, le Karakorum et l'Hindu-Kush". He died in 1925 in the Gulf of Aden. (From Wikipedia)
