**First Time At Auction**
Greece, Archaic Period, ca. 6th to 5th century BCE. A hollow, mold-made earthenware pig or boar standing upon all fours with endearing details and traces of red and white pigment gracing the surface. Just look at that sweet face presenting squinty, indented eyes, a pronounced upturned snout with delineated nostrils and mouth, rounded ears, those hairy ridges rising from his back, and his cute, curly tail. An adorable piggy, probably created as a toy for a toddler. Size: 4.625" L x 2.75" H (11.7 cm x 7 cm)

Condition
Repaired from about three pieces with the head reattached and some visible break lines. Loss to one ear and tip of front right foot. Nice remaining red and white pigment. Earthen encrustations.
