Description
A rectangular Chinese bronze incense burner with beast head-shaped handles and a lid carved with 4 ruyi with a coral finial and a wooden stand. The piece dates to the 19th century.
Dimensions are: 4 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches wide including the stand and lid. The incense burner weighs 9 ounces without the stand and lid. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The coral finial has been broken off and the stand has a small chip.
Provenance: From a collector in the Mid-west whose parents were missionaries in China from the 1930s to 1940s.
