Description
A Roman terracotta discus lamp depicting a gladiator fighting a rampant bear, North Africa, 5th - 6th Century AD, the central scene within the discus, the shoulders adorned with floral devices. L: 4 1/2 in (11.6cm). Deposits throughout and evidence of use in antiquity. Ex collection of Lawrence Buchanan and Dr. Enrique von Kiguel formed throughout the 1970's-80's.
