Description
Decorative small dish on four feet, a cigar tray, by Ulysse Cantagalli, Italy, late 19th century. Cantagalli won world fame for his faience pieces in Renaissance style. This little cigar tray with its modeled butterfly displays elegantly rendered Renaissance ornaments, grotesques. Sign for Cantagalli, the crowing rooster. Width "5½/ 14 cm. Condition: some glaze wear to the border (cf. photos).
