PROVENANCE: From the Robert O. Muller estate
COMMENTS: Hodo Nishimura was a Japanese artist who worked with publisher Takemura Hideo. His prints were made in the 1930's in traditional woodblock technique. He is well known for his beautiful prints of flowers, and he also produced a number of landscapes in the shin hanga style that are rarely seen. This print of two rabbits is among his most popular designs.
