Provenance: The Collection of Carlotta Marshall 1939 - 2018. Carlotta graduated from The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT, class of 1957. She lived between London and New York where she worked as a photographer and assistant to Alexey Brodovitch at Harper’s Bazaar. Through him she met Diane Arbus who remained a close friend until her death as the published letters between them attest. Carlotta’s life in London brought her into contact with a variety of contemporary artists many of whom became friends and whose work she collected. (JBER8000) (TC)
