Brian Wall (British, b. 1931), "Long White IV," 2014, Sumi ink on Japanese paper, signed and dated lower right, sheet: 38.5"h x 25"w, overall (with frame): 43.25"h x 29.25"w. Provenance: Collection of Peter Selz (Berkeley, California). Mr. Selz taught at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1965-1988 where he concurrently served as founder and director of the university art museum from 1965-1973. Before joining UC Berkeley, Selz served as Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art, New York from 1958-1965.
