Classical style gilt and paint decorated architectural panel from the Bank of Italy, 485 California Street, San Francisco, circa 1927, designed by Henry A. Minton for Amadeo Peter Giannini, who founded the Bank of Italy (later Bank of America), the crest centered with a star surrounding a bear fighting a coyote or wolf, above the central panel depicting a figure of Judgement, carrying a scale in one hand, and an eagle in the other, flanked by two larger figures one with a wheel and sickle, the other with a rod of Asclepius or a Caduceus, continuing to acanthus accents and floral medallions, 54"h x 102"w
