Original Maurice Mahul Nouveau Cirque Poster c. 1900-1905. Published by Chaix, Rue de Bergere, Paris. In frame measures 19 1/2"x26 1/2"x1"in frame. Image- 17 1/2"x24 1/2". Weight 5 pds 7 oz. PROVENANCE: A Pawleys Island SC Private Estate The Nouveau Cirque (New Circus) was a circus located in Paris at 251 Rue Saint-Honore. It was inaugurated on February 12, 1886 and closed on April 18, 1926 and was demolished. It was owned by Joseph Oller, co-founder of the famous Moulin Rouge.
