Description
This machine was widely used in the US by public transit systems such as streetcars, trolleys and buses from the early 1910s up until the 1960s. It automated the fare count instead of manually collecting it from person to person though it did experience some problems. It was manufactured by Johnson Fare Box Co. with the serial no. 70250. It has been nicely restored with a porcelain body, nicely coated in black with a glossy finish. Complete with chrome hardware and a glass top. In superb condition with some wear but there is an old piece of gum contained within the glass box. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: 24"T x 7-1/2"W x 10"D.
