Image: 50" H x 40" W; frame: 56" H x 46 W". Previous restoration and canvas relined. Lady Rachel Fane was renowned for her learning and her literary talent. For her family, she wrote sophisticated masques and other entertainment, a number of which still survive. She was also noted for her charitable support of orphans and impoverished children.
